I had the pleasure of staying at Cortijo Catifalarga Alpujarra Guest House and it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality. The rural house is so charming and surrounded by breathtaking mountains, offering a truly tranquil retreat. The view from the top of the mountain was simply incredible, even with the cloudy weather that day.

The room and lounge apartments are so cozy and elegant, it truly feels like a home away from home. I absolutely loved the rustic vibe and the beautiful views of the Lujar Mountains and the sea from the balcony and terrace. As someone who enjoys karaoke and casinos, this place was perfect for me!

Personally, I found the fold-out beds in the room and lounge apartments a bit uncomfortable. But hey, that's just my personal opinion.

The stay at this rural house in Capileira was absolutely amazing! The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel like we've known them for years. The view from our room was stunning, and the pool was a perfect place to relax. The room itself had a lovely style that made it feel like paradise. The location just above Capileira was gorgeous, surrounded by marvelous views, and there were plenty of hiking trails to explore. The restaurant at the house was cozy and had a delicious menu. it was a simply wonderful stay!

I recently stayed at Cortijo Catifalarga in the beautiful surroundings of Capileira. My husband and I were looking for a peaceful retreat, and this guest house provided just that. The views from our balcony were breathtaking, even though we didn't have the room with the best view. The hosts, Enrique and Ana, were fantastic - providing great service without any fuss. The breakfast was always delicious and varied throughout our 8-day stay. We also had some amazing evening meals cooked by Enrique, and Ana's baking and jams were excellent. We can't wait to return!

The location is perfect for getting away from everything, with jaw-dropping mountain views and no light pollution at night. The locals are friendly and the food is super.

Although our stay was amazing, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. the breakfast offered by the hotel started quite late, which wasn't ideal for those wanting to start their day early for a hike.

Slightly frustrating lack of assistance and information. But hey, who needs that when you have a crumpled telephone number stuck to the door and the joy of figuring it all out by myself?
